Each textile from the weavers of Patacancha is one-of-a-kind and created completely by memory - patterns and symbols are passed down orally through generations, never written down. Every piece incorporates Quechua symbology and patterns unique to this region.
The weavers have adapted some of their traditional designs to create some more contemporary pieces. These pillowcases are designed by each weaver according to her own taste and style, adding a personal touch as well as pop of color to your home decor.
In addition to creating textile products, the weavers have expressed a passion for teaching visitors about the weaving process. We’re proud to work in collaboration with them to host part of our Tintes & Textiles Workshop - learn more about our upcoming workshops here.
